(He Said) This review starts a few years back when I delivered food to the Vintage Brewing Co. in Sauk Prairie, WI as part of my job. Getting a look into their kitchen and food storage areas. Their behind the food scene was super clean and organized. After being in other kitchens this is a PLUS! A couple of times I actually got to have conversations with the early morning staff and they were all pleasant and appeared to like their job, even with starting so early in the morning.
Time went by and we still hadn’t visited Vintage Brewing Co. Then out of the blue my brother messaged me that he and his significant other were at Vintage Brewing Co. and were enjoying their visit. This prompted us to go and give it a try.
Our first visit was in July of 2022. At that time my wife was under the belief she had to be 100% gluten free, this makes eating out a challenge. Their menu actually has a nice variety of GF items or options to have it GF. I had the VBC Pretzels; Two house-made soft pretzels. Served with beer mustard & VBC queso. I can eat gluten so I took advantage of this gluten overload. These are some of the best soft pretzels I’ve had. They were delicious! If my wife could have eaten gluten I still might not have shared any with her.
As to my “meal” since the pretzels only increased my appetite I had the “Home Grown”,Locally sourced 7 oz. beef patty* topped with white cheddar, fresh apple, arugula, & garlic Parmesan Aioli. Drizzled with an apple cider reduction and served on a brioche bun. Sorry we didn’t take a photo but it was delicious. One of the other times we stopped I had the beer battered cod. Another hit! I won’t bore you with every meal I’ve had there but there is nothing to complain about.
Over the last few years I’ve become more of a craft beer drinker so that made me inclined to do a flight of their beers to get a sample of what I might like. They will also bring you a tiny sample of something without doing the whole flight thing. Their beer descriptions are detailed enough that if you know what you like you will have less chance of picking something that goes against your beer palette. After tasting a few I picked one to have with dinner and grabbed some canned ones to go home with me. Check back often as their brew list changes. Their mixed drinks are creative and very drinkable. Many of the drinks use their own distilled spirits or those of nearby distilleries. If you are going to sample a lot of stuff make sure you have a driver.

(She Said) When my husband suggested that we visit Vintage Brewing Co. while we were on a road trip, I was so excited to see that they have gluten free options. Most restaurants just have the basic frozen cauliflower or Udi’s crust for a gluten free pizza crust option. I assumed that was what I would be getting when I ordered the Margherita Flatbread with a gluten free crust. But, when it came out, I was pleasantly surprised to see that the gluten free crust was hand-made and not the usual basic frozen crust. And it tasted AMAZING. I have also tried the Chicken and Spinach Artichoke Flat Bread that is on their Specials Menu and love both of them. The flatbreads are huge, I made 3 meals out of it. Vintage Brewing Co. also offers a gluten free bun for their burgers and gluten free pasta for their Mac & Cheese. It’s awesome to be able to visit a restaurant with delicious gluten free options! The drinks aren’t too shabby either!
They have some craft sodas for those that might not want an alcohol beverage, and you know, the kids. You can even get a flight of the craft sodas to try. So many options and it appears by their Facebook page that the specials change often. We didn’t really cover their deserts but we did have a couple of them. Finding a GF desert is tough but VBC had some options and we enjoyed them.
